USSSA Webinar: How to Choose Your Growth Lane & Sleep Well at Night (members only)

Most business owners say they’re investing back into their businesses. However, I find many struggle to tell me exactly how they are doing that. If you don’t know how much you’re investing or how those investments are doing, you can’t make intentional plans for the future. Goals should not be abstract milestones we hope and pray to reach one day. There has to be a plan, steps, and timeline in place to ensure those goals are met. Hold yourself accountable with you investments and make informed decisions about next steps

Speaker: Ami Kassar, MultiFunding

Julie Derouen, LCMHC
MYG Consultant/Facilitator
Julie Derouen is a LCMHC who has been practicing in NC for 16 years. She started her career as an Elementary School Counselor, then moved into community counseling with in-home family therapy for at risk youth. She has specialized in perinatal depression, anxiety, psychosis and trauma for the last 7 years. As a former dispatcher and EMT, she also specializes in supporting first responders who have experienced trauma.  For the past four years, Julie has participated with the Western NC Peer support team responding to debriefing requests following officer involved shootings, line of duty deaths, suicide call responses and responses to severe pediatric traumas. As a former EMT and dispatcher, it has been her honor to show up for these crews as a trauma informed healer to support them to process the incidents and leave feeling heard, validated, and armed with more skills to cope and continue functioning within their work roles as well as with their families. Much of this work is focused on supporting colleagues, creating a space where all are heard and valued and building trust within teams. It is Julie’s hope that by continuing this work we will decrease the stigma associated with accessing therapeutic support, increase opportunity for many to experience what this support and regulation feels like. Ultimately her goal is to increase the likelihood that first responders reach out as needed to reprocess traumas, improve resilience, and strengthen this trust in self that they can respond with compassion and still care for themselves effectively. She is passionate about helping clients bring awareness to patterns that are serving or not serving them. She is trained in EMDR and Somatic Experiencing. She has been told her teaching and counseling style is gentle yet honest, curious, courageous, and engaging.
