The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson is coming up on June 20, 2014! This event builds awareness about the vital importance of teaching children to swim to help prevent drowning. On that day at 11am Eastern Standard Time (3pm GMT), waterparks, pools and other aquatic facilities around the globe will host local WLSL lessons simultaneously in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record.
Research has shown that if a child doesn't learn to swim by the 3rd grade, it is unlikely they ever will. This event is a platform to help aquatic facilities as well as water safety and drowning prevention organizations work together to tell this important story to the world both locally and globally.
